[ History ] : http://un-go.wikia.com/wiki/Inga
Although the history is not entirely revealed, the supernatural being known as Inga made a pact with Yuki Shinjuro, a detective with a mysterious past of his own. Shinjuro took Inga under his wing as a personal assistant—actually a demon hungering for souls. In exchange for acting as his assistant and helping out on cases, Inga could freely feed on “truths” as a substitute for souls. It was a sacrifice made to prevent the deaths of many people under Inga’s hands.
As for Inga, it wasn’t so much haunting as it was just something for him to enjoy. Well, or her to enjoy. Inga’s true form is a mature and much older woman with the ability to make anyone tell a single truth. Inga has helped solved various cases and proved her loyalty to Shinjuro, but it isn’t certain how far Inga could be considered like a human. In the end, Inga was always eager to expose the many lies within each new encounter.
[ Personality ] : Inga has a very enthusiastic personality for someone with very little to do. Along with her appearance as a young boy, Inga acts very childish and naïve about the events occurring around her. Even in the direst of situations, Inga is usually found wandering around without a care in the world. She will often attempt to crack jokes in the midst of something tragic and poke her nose into places it should not be.
Despite this front with her separate appearance, her true form exhibits few key differences. With the ability to make any person tell a single truth, she has helped solved various cases due to her intense desire to feed. This desire drives Inga mad to the point where she will stagger away to turn into her true form, desperate and impatient to use this ability.
As a woman, she doesn’t care about anything but satisfying her hunger. Although the same person in both forms, Inga will suddenly exhibit a more sadistic and flirtatious personality than as a boy. She becomes more romantically possessive over Shinjuro, believing their pact is something that will keep them together forever. Much like a deal with the Devil, Inga leaves it uncertain whether she plans to eat Shinjuro’s soul as soon as he nears death. But Inga hardly believes their relationship works that way. Instead, they trust the other will keep their part in the deal. Not only that, but she truthfully became fonder of Shinjuro over time, which she displays from time to time through protecting him from danger. This hints that Inga may have romantic and somewhat pure feelings for her partner.
This leads to a struggle the demon may experience over time. She believes the only important parts of her life are “to live and eat”, seemingly incapable of being more in depth about her future goals or dreams. As it is assumed she continuously ate human souls in her previous lifestyle, meeting Shinjuro and creating their pact meant Inga wanted to turn over a new leaf. Treating every new experience with humans leaves her excited and ready to explore—she is slowly moving towards the normal life like a human. The only problem remaining is not eating her fellow inhabitants.
Her world usually revolves around the detective, so behavior around others may not be as close or caring. She does possess a curiosity for humans, but it is in her nature to direct her attention for their souls. This curiosity used to be as simple as playing with one’s food. It was Shinjuro that introduced using truths, so feeding on them became an obsession with its peculiar taste. She is curious about the complexity of each individual and believing each has something to hide. Anything that resembles friendship could lead to an immediate betrayal, but it something the demon has never explored in greater depth. Upon meeting Shinjuro, this has created a long chain of relationships. Her interests in others aren’t as intense as for her partner, so she uses others to pass the time. She acts overly goofy, doesn't respect personal space, and treats every person like they are on a playdate. Just as her treatment towards her partner, hopefully that friendliness will remain with others.
The only circumstance in which Inga throws away her dealings with Shinjuro and others is when it involves a higher deity or a god(dess). It is the only time Inga strays from being calm and collected. She becomes weary and fearful of the more powerful being. Acknowledging the stronger of the two, Inga is compliant of that being’s needs if she cannot manage to avoid them.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] : +Inga has the ability to make anyone tell one truth. This power cannot be used again on the same person, as it has been attempted on Shinjuro.
-The other few abilities Inga possesses are weakened upon arrival.
+Inga is very easy to get along with. Her childlike personality may be an annoyance to some, but her impatience and need for excitement often leads to fun situations.
-She is quite naive at times. She possess little knowledge on many activities in the human world.
[ Other Important Facts ] : There will be a permissions post for Inga's ability later.
[ Sample ] : Shinjuro! Heyyyy, Shinjuro!
[One large eye suddenly appears on the screen. It blinks and squints until the form suddenly pulls back, revealing a young boy wearing a panda hat. He looks as pale as Death himself, but with an attitude that says otherwise. This mood wavers, ruffling his hair and letting out an exasperated sigh.]
Shinjuro~ Don’t leave Inga alone~ We had a deal didn’t we?
[He suddenly bashes on the screen with a small fist and it flickers. The next moment Inga wickedly grins and laughs, seemingly amused by a small, secretive thought.
Instead, he was acknowledging the fact he was somewhere new. And new places meant new people, right? New places equals new people, equals... Well, new and scrumptious souls! It was this thought that would remain hidden as long as the young boy smiled, seemingly excited about something innocent as any other boy. Just the thought of it kept Inga in a gigglefit.]
Heyyyy, someone is watching, right? Shinjuro, Shinjuro! I’m gonna eat one…
